Presentation Ministries
Forming Disciples for a World in Need

To equip the holy ones for the work of ministry,
for building up the body of Christ.”

— Ephesians 4:12

Our Mission

Presentation Ministries is a dynamic Catholic lay association based in Cincinnati, Ohio, dedicated to forming disciples who can renew the Church and transform the world. Rooted in the vision of its founder, Father Al Lauer, the ministry exists to help ordinary Catholics grow into mature followers of Jesus — people who pray deeply, study Scripture faithfully, live in Christian community, and share the Gospel with confidence.
For more than four decades, Presentation Ministries has served the Church through a wide range of spiritual resources, retreats, and formation programs. Its mission is simple yet bold: to raise up disciples who make disciples, strengthening parishes, families, and communities through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Daily Spiritual Nourishment

One of the most recognizable offerings of Presentation Ministries is One Bread, One Body, a daily reflection on the Eucharistic readings of the Catholic Mass. This small but powerful publication has become a spiritual lifeline for countless believers around the world. Each reflection invites readers to encounter Jesus in the Scriptures, apply the Word to daily life, and grow in love for the Eucharist.
Complementing this written ministry is the Daily Bread Radio Program, which provides short, accessible teachings that encourage listeners to pray, trust God, and live the Gospel with renewed conviction. These resources — along with numerous booklets, pamphlets, and online teachings — form a treasury of practical spiritual guidance for individuals, families, and parish groups.

Retreats That Renew & Transform

Presentation Ministries hosts a wide variety of retreats throughout the year, each designed to help participants encounter Christ more deeply and receive fresh strength for their spiritual journey. Offerings include men’s retreats, married couple retreats, healing retreats, and multi-day discipleship seminars.
These gatherings emphasize prayer, Scripture, fellowship, and the power of the Holy Spirit. Participants often describe them as moments of profound renewal — times when God restores hope, clarifies purpose, and rekindles the fire of discipleship. Whether someone is new to the faith or seeking to grow more deeply, these retreats provide a space where God’s grace can work powerfully.

Community & Ongoing Discipleship

At the heart of Presentation Ministries is a conviction that Christian growth happens best in community. For this reason, the ministry strongly encourages believers to participate in Small Christian Communities — local groups that meet regularly for prayer, Scripture study, mutual support, and accountability. These communities help disciples stay rooted in Christ and connected to one another, forming a network of spiritual friendships that strengthens the wider Church.
The ministry also promotes the Daily Mass Movement, a call for Catholics to encounter Jesus in the Eucharist as frequently as possible. By encouraging daily participation in the Mass, Presentation Ministries helps believers center their lives on the sacramental heart of the Church.

A Rich Library of Teachings & Media

One of the ministry’s greatest treasures is the extensive archive of teachings from Father Al Lauer. His homilies, conferences, and radio messages — available online — continue to inspire new generations of Catholics. These teachings emphasize repentance, holiness, evangelization, and the transforming power of the Holy Spirit.
Presentation Ministries maintains a website (www.presentationministries.com), offering seminars, Bible teachings, and evangelization content accessible to a global audience. Through these digital platforms, the ministry extends its reach far beyond Cincinnati, touching lives across the United States and around the world.
